Wild Police Chase Ends With 4 Arrests For Breaking Into 7 Autos

Villa Rica and Douglasville Police teamed up with Lowndes Sheriff's deputies to catch 4 people who broke into 7 cars, police say.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Villa Rica and Douglasville Police teamed up with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office to catch four people who were breaking into autos, police say.

The following suspects were charged with 7 counts of entering auto from Villa Rica and additional charges are expected from where the suspects used stolen credit cards.

On Nov. 8 between 7 and 8 p.m., Villa Rica Police responded to Industrial Blvd. and Hwy 61 Connector due to reports of vehicles being broken into. A total of seven vehicles were reported to have been entered with items taken ranging from firearms to electronics. Officers were able to determine that the suspects involved were traveling in a white Dodge Charger.

At approximately 9 p.m., Douglasville Police Department discovered that the same suspects were involved in breaking into vehicles in Douglasville. Douglasville Police and Georgia State Patrol became involved in a pursuit with the Dodge Charger but the chase ended on I-20 near Camp Creek Pkwy due to the speeds and the weather.

Villa Rica Police and Douglasville Police were working other vehicle break-ins that occurred in October and had developed information on a suspect from Florida. Due to this prior information a lookout was broadcast to all agencies along the I-75 corridor to Florida.

Later in the night Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a pursuit with the Dodge Charger on I-75 after receiving the look out. During the pursuit the vehicle crashed and four suspects were taken into custody.

Harmon Brown was also charged with Entering Auto from October in Villa Rica. Villa Rica Police Department is currently working with Douglasville Police and Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office in this investigation.
