- A Douglas County woman was convicted of stabbing her husband to death. As of last Friday, Feb. 24, 32-year-old Jasmine Williams was convicted of malice murder, aggravated assault, and felony murder. In 2020, she was suspected of inflicting a four-inch stab wound on her then-husband, Darzjai Williams, on Oct. 17, 2020 in Douglasville. She faces a life sentence. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- On Saturday, Feb. 25, the City Of Douglasville celebrated its 148th birthday. If you didn't get to take part in the celebration, at the Douglasville/Douglas County Cultural Arts Center (CAC), you missed out on a blast! - The Douglasville-Douglas County Water-Sewer Authority (DDCWSA) announced that the Blairs Bridge Road closure will be in effect until Friday. As part of the work along the shoulder of Blairs Bridge Rd., related to the ongoing Cobb Sewer Tunnel Connection, the single-lane closure will continue until this Friday, Mar. 3.
