Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau Welcomes New Board Members, Officers

The Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau (GCVB) announces changes to the GCVB/Gwinnett Center Board of Directors for 2013.

Gwinnett County Commissioner Jace Brooks (District 1), has been appointed to serve on the GCVB Board of Directors on behalf of the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners. Brooks hails from Suwanee and served on the Suwanee City Council for 10 years.

Norcross Mayor Bucky Johnson has been appointed to the GCVB Board of Directors to represent the Gwinnett Municipal Association.  Johnson has served as the mayor of Norcross since 2008.

New Board Officers have also been appointed. The new Chairman is Kevin Hill (General Manager of Hampton Inn Sugarloaf); Vice Chairperson is Jace Brooks; Treasurer, Marcy Adams (General Manager of Atlanta Marriott Gwinnett Place); and Secretary, Tony Contigiani (General Manager of the Hilton Atlanta Northeast).

The GCVB Board of Directors oversees the GCVB, Gwinnett Sports Commission and the Gwinnett Center.
