• Police investigate reported shooting at Gwinnett County hotel (atlantanewsfirst.com) — Police are investigating an overnight shooting at the Sonesta Select Atlanta Duluth on Venture Parkway after 911 callers reported gunfire and guests saw a man bleeding in the lobby. Officers found numerous shell casings, taped off the area, and even used a loudspeaker at a nearby Quality Inn, but have not yet confirmed any injuries or arrests. 
• 3 former Gwinnett County students nominated for Grammy Award (11alive.com) — Two Duluth High School graduates who trained in Gwinnett’s Grayson music program have earned Grammy nominations, spotlighting talent that started in local classrooms. Along with a Lanier High alum, they’re recognized for work on major R&B and rap projects, crediting their school experiences and instructors for giving them the skills and confidence to succeed in the music industry.
