Kroger Raises $184,000 to Support ACS Relay for Life

Kroger customers and associates in its Atlanta Division – which includes 213 stores in Georgia, South Carolina, Northern Alabama and Eastern Tennessee – contributed more than $184,000 to support the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) Relay For Life campaign – an 8 percent increase from last year’s donations.

For two weeks in February, Kroger customers and associates purchased $1 “footprint” icons for Relay For Life, a signature fundraising event that takes place in more than 5,100 communities nationwide and abroad.

“We are proud of the overwhelming generosity shown by our customers and associates throughout this campaign,” says Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for Kroger’s Atlanta Division. “In just two short weeks, our community gave funds that will help support the families of our neighbors affected by cancer.”
