The Hudgens Center for the Arts Issues Call for Fiber Artists

The Hudgens Center for the Arts in Duluth is looking for fiber artists to participate in an upcoming exhibition, Needles & Threads: Gwinnett Celebrates Traditional Fiber Arts, to be on view March 26 through May 25.

Needles & Threads is a juried show, and not all works that are submitted will be selected for display. However, each artist is guaranteed that at least one of their submissions will be shown. A “Best in Show” award of $100 and three “Honorable Mention” awards of $50 each will be selected by the juror(s), and there will be a reception for the artists on Thursday, March 28, from 7 p.m.–9 p.m.

Entries will be accepted on March 14, 15 and 16 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. There is a $15 entry fee, which includes up to three entries. The show is open to all current Hudgens members (as of March 2013) age 18 and over. Artists may renew or purchase a membership by including the $40 membership fee when delivering their work and entry form.
