Duluth Council Candidate Reports Contributions

Carden is a candidate for Post 2 in 2013.

A candidate for Duluth City Council has reported over $600 in contributions to his campaign, according to state records.

According to material filed with the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission, Post 2 candidate Kirkland Carden has received $637 from contributors.

State Sen. Stephen Henson of Tucker (District 41) contributed $400, and Cheryl & George Williams gave $100. Other contributions did not have to be itemized, under state guidelines.

Post 2 incumbent Jim Dugan reports no campaign contributions, and challenger Seth Grey has received $200.

Early voting is under way in Duluth City Council elections, with Election Day on Nov. 5. All voting is done at City Hall, and is restricted to residents within the city limits.
