Duluth Police Begin Extradition of Suspect From New Mexico
Sandman was arrested Monday. Duluth warrants arise from the death of Donald Singer in March.

Duluth Police have begun extradition proceedings for a man being held in New Mexico. Police warrants were issued after the March death of a Duluth resident.
According to a Duluth Police news release Tuesday (Oct. 15), Robert Sandman is being held in Albuquerque, N.M., on Duluth warrants that arise from the death of Donald Singer, a Monteath Pass resident.
Extradition for Sandman has been authorized through the Gwinnett District Attorney's Office and will be handled through the Gwinnett Sheriff's Department.
Sandman has been sought on Duluth Police warrants since April, and he initially was arrested on April 7 in Sandoval County, N.M. However, Sandman was released in July in an apparent administrative foul-up.
But authorities arrested Sandman again Monday (Oct. 14) in Albuquerque on search warrants; the original Duluth warrants have been valid all along.
An autopsy on Singer's body in March determined no cause of death. Singer's body was found by police under blankets, and his face covered with blood.
