Greg Whitlock Seeking Re-Election to Post 5
Whitlock offers experience and consistency in his bid for second four-year term.

Greg Whitlock will be seeking re-election to a second four-year term on the Duluth City Council. During his first term in the Post 5 seat, Whitlock said he has focused his attention on promoting an economic development plan for the city. “Even though the economy is slowing our progress, we need to be in a position to move quickly when things turn around,” he said.
Whitlock is currently mayor pro tem and fills in for the mayor when needed. He is the president of E2E Risk Management Inc., a local insurance agency. Whitlock is a graduate of Georgia State University where he majored in risk management and insurance.
“It really takes a year or two to learn the history, procedures, laws, etc., that restrict a government entity,” Whitlock said. “The city has some very difficult hills to climb in the coming years with an expected decrease in tax revenue, slowing economy, a new city administrator, and an aging road and sewer infrastructure. Experience and consistency is what the city needs at the moment, and I can provide that to help my community.”
