• Saturday morning fire destroys Duluth home (accesswdun.com) — A Duluth home in the Peachtree Walk neighborhood off Old Peachtree Road was destroyed in an early Saturday fire, displacing three adults. Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames and everyone inside escaped without injuries, but the house was left uninhabitable while officials say the accidental blaze remains under investigation.
   

• ‘He cleaned out everything': Accused mail thief arrested with suitcase full of stolen identities (wsbtv.com) — Residents near Pleasant Hill Road should know a Duluth man was arrested after police say he broke into the Woodmere Trace Apartments mail center and took hundreds of pieces of mail and IDs. Investigators recovered licenses, Social Security cards, credit cards, and a suitcase of stolen mail, and federal postal inspectors are now reviewing the case for possible additional charges.
