NORCROSS, GA — A Sunday night fire heavily damaged six apartments and led to the displacement of 30 people in the 2100 block of Seasons Parkway in Norcross, Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services said Monday.

A resident heard a "pop," and when they went to investigate, fire officials said they saw the fire and evacuated the three-story building around 10 p.m. The 911 caller said everyone escaped the apartments, fire officials said.

Firefighters found heavy fire coming from the back of the building when they arrived, fire officials said. They added they gained control of the blaze around 10:30 p.m., and an investigator determined the origin of the fire to be on the second story in the back of the building.
