• Georgia lawmakers react to expiring healthcare subsidies that will raise premiums for 1M in state (wsbtv.com) — A Duluth-based state senator is urging Gov. Brian Kemp to call a special legislative session to expand Medicaid before federal Affordable Care Act subsidies expire on January 1, which could sharply raise premiums for 1.4 million Georgians. The debate has drawn responses from Sen. Jon Ossoff and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who disagree on policy details but both warn that suddenly ending subsidies could hurt many families relying on ACA coverage.
