Pure Taqueria Opening Delayed Until Oct. 3
Pure Taqueria to sell tacos and Margaritas from a tent in front of restaurant for Duluth Fall Festival.
Construction on the Pure Taqueria at the corner of Main Street and Ga. Hwy. 120 in Downtown Duluth is continuing, but the opening has been delayed until October. Pure Taqueria still plans to serve its popular fare during the Duluth Fall Festival Sept. 24-25.
"Our opening day is currently scheduled for Monday, Oct. 3, with private events being held on the Friday and Saturday before," Pure Taqueria partner Bill Weaver said. "We will have tent space directly in front of the restaurant during the festival where we will be serving our pork, steak and fish tacos along with both our frozen and rocks Margaritas and draft beer."
Workmen have started installing brick on the Buford Highway side of the restaurant. The windows and doors will be trimmed in 102-year-old brick salvaged from the end of the Red Clay Theatre next door when it was demolished.
