Store or Dispose of Unused Fireworks Properly

If the rain kept you from shooting off all the fireworks bought to celebrate the Fourth of July, store them for another holiday or dispose of them properly.

The Gwinnett Fire Department recommends storing any leftover fireworks in a cool, dry place that is out of reach for small children and pets and away from open flames. When discarding used or unwanted fireworks, remember to soak them in a bucket of water for several hours before placing them in the trash.
