Summer Fun on the Duluth Town Green!

Storytime, yoga, a picnic and a Town Market will be coming to the Duluth Town Green during June. Here is a list of fun events released by the city for the month:

Story Time in Downtown Duluth, June 19

The Gwinnett County Public Library will be presenting a special story reading on Wednesday, June 19, from 10 to 11 a.m. by the Taylor Park playground. Children of all ages are welcome! Come dressed like your favorite storybook character for a prize! All children must be under the supervision of an adult. Prizes are available while supplies last.

Yoga on the Green, June 22

Join us for a peaceful start to the day with a free morning yoga session taught by Jennifer Del Castillo. Jennifer specializes in a gentle, meditative, and therapeutic approach to yoga. Young adults to active seniors are welcome to attend. Wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to relax. The session will start at 9 a.m. and will last until 10 a.m.

Picnic on the Green, June 28 (All Day)

Welcome summer with a day full of simple fun! We invite you to have a picnic on the Town Green anytime on June 28. Bring a blanket and lie out under the sun, play Frisbee, and cool off in the fountain! Enjoy music playing on the green from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. This event is BYOFF for Bring your Own Food & Family and spend quality time outside, or come later and enjoy a date night with your sweetheart!

The Market at Duluth, June 29-Oct. 12

Designed to be a central town market, The Market at Duluth will be a place for local finds, whether homemade, homegrown, refurbished recycled, or new! The market will be located on the top tiers of the Town Green, an ideal location to browse through aisles of unique treasures. The Market will be open four times a month on the second and last Thursday and second and last Saturday of every month beginning on June 29 through Oct. 12. The market will be open on Thursdays 4-7 p.m. and on Saturdays 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Please note that there will not be a market on Sept. 28, due to the Duluth Fall Festival.
