Tractor-Trailer Dragged Car In Duluth Hit-And-Run: Cops

DULUTH, GA — A tractor-trailer driver is facing hit-and-run charges after authorities said he hit a car and dragged it through two intersections in Duluth.
Gwinnett County Police on Monday said the crash happened near Venture Parkway on Tuesday. The driver of a silver car crossed over the Interstate 85 overpass at Pleasant Hill Road and was approaching Venture.
A tractor-trailer was attempting to go into the right lane when it hit the car, causing it to spin in front of the truck, police said.

A 42-second video clip released by police seemingly depicted a tractor-trailer pushing the front of a car through a busy intersection.
Police said the car was dragged through two intersections before the tractor-trailer stopped.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, who police identified as 31-year-old Alabama resident Christian Barrier, left the scene after the crash, police said. The driver of the car was not injured, police added.
Barrier was charged on suspicion of hit and run, improper lane change, reckless driving and reckless conduct, police said. He surrendered Friday to the Gwinnett County Jail, police said.
