Watch Live Online: Unique Solar Eclipse Expected Over Gwinnett on Sunday
The event is known as a hybrid eclipse. Don't turn your eyes skyward without proper eyewear, however.

For skywatchers, there's a unique event -- a hybrid solar eclipse. It might be visible in the skies over Gwinnett County early Sunday (Nov. 3). It's scheduled to begin about 6:45 a.m., according to media reports.
The Slooh virtual observatory plans to broadcast video feeds from telescopes in Gabon, Kenya and the Canary Islands. (See attached video also).

For East Coasters and others in the partial-eclipse zone, here's the important thing: Don't gaze at the sun without proper eye protection. Trying to see a partial solar eclipse with unprotected eyes will just lead to vision problems.
