Who's Contributing to Duluth Council Race?

All candidates for one post report some financial backers.

With voting set to begin Monday (Oct. 14) in Duluth City Council races, a challenger for one post has a sizable lead in financial contributions.

According to finance records filed with the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission, Post 1 challenger David Cossette has $1,500 in contributions -- $1,000 made by himself.

Roland and Dixie Huthmaker of Huthmaker Violins contributed $500 to Cossette's campaign, records show.

Post 1 incumbent Marsha Anderson Bomar lists $310 in contributions -- with contributors not listed. Donations of less than $100 do not have to be itemized.

Chaoan Louis Tseng lists $300 in contributions. Sueling Wang of Color Imaging in Norcross gave $200. Barbara Anderson of Atlanta gave $100, according to records.
