Crowne Plaza Hotel Manager Elected to Perimeter CID Board

Steve Davis, general manager of the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia Hotel, has been elected to the Board of the Central (DeKalb) Perimeter Community Improvement Districts.

Steve Davis, general manager of the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia Hotel, has been elected to the Board of the Central (DeKalb) Perimeter Community Improvement Districts.

The Perimeter Community Improvement Districts (PCIDs), composed of both the Central (DeKalb) and Fulton Perimeter CIDs, are special areas established by the legislature where commercial property owners voluntarily pay additional property taxes to help make transportation and other infrastructure improvements. 

“We are pleased to have this dedicated business professional with demonstrated success in general management within the hospitality industry join our board,” said Central (DeKalb) Perimeter CID Board Chair John Heagy.

Before joining the Crowne Plaza Hotel located in Dunwoody in January 2013, Davis was general manager of the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel and Conference Center for five years.  In that position, he oversaw a $7 million renovation of the hotel in 3-1/2 months while the hotel was still open for business.  During his tenure, the hotel received the “Hilton Hotel of the Year” Award in 2009 and Davis was nominated for general manager of the year.

Prior to that, Davis served as general manager of the Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake Hotel in Houston, TX.
