
Dunwoody Police Officer Christopher Irwin was on his way home, Monday, when he turned around to respond to a medical emergency call on Crown Pointe Parkway.Â
The person was in cardiac arrest when Irwin arrived. The officer applied his automated external defibrillator and CPR with the help of a civilian, according to the department’s Facebook post.
Following the defibrillation shocks, Dekalb Fire Rescue arrived to resume CPR, helping the person to breathe before being transported to Saint Joseph’s Hospital. Â
