Dunwoody Nature Center Kicks Off Fundraising Campaign
In its 2014 annual fund campaign, the Dunwoody Nature Center hopes to raise $45,000 to expand programs and make repairs.

The Dunwoody Nature Center launched its Annual Fund campaign for 2014-2015 and aims to raise $45,000.
Money raised this year will go toward improvements to both the grounds and the facilities at Dunwoody Park, namely the materials and resources needed for repairing signage, displays, and expanding the nature center’s educational programs.
Past years’ fundraising efforts made it possible to add improvements like outdoor classrooms, a renovated cabin space and public restrooms to the Dunwoody Nature Center. The center also added new classes and educational activities to its lineup of programs, including classes on photography, mushroom cultivation, and yoga.

Some of their many family-oriented programs are Friday Night Hikes, the Great Backyard Bird Count, and the Night-Under-the-Stars astronomy program. The Nature Center even hosts Thanksgiving and Winter Break camps to keep young students active and learning while out of the classroom.
To support its operations, the center has established several levels of Annual Fund donation: Lead Donor for donations of $1,000+; Magnolia Donor for donations of $2,000+; and Oak Donor for donations of $5,000+.
