Dunwoody Police Disarm Knife-Wielding Woman

• Officers responded to the Chevron located at the corner of Winters Chapel Road and Peachtree Industrial Blvd on a report of a woman brandishing a knife and threatening customers. An officer confronted the woman who was still holding the knife. She complied with the officer's commands and dropped the knife, and was taken into custody without incident. Officers found crystal-meth in her purse and charged her with a number of felonies.

• An officer was patrolling the area of Peachtree Place Parkway and stopped to investigate a suspicious looking vehicle. It turned out the vehicle was a stolen Lexus reported out of Gwinnett County. The vehicle was impounded and will be turned over to the Gwinnett County Police Department for further investigation.

• An officer responded to a medical call and upon his arrival at the scene he discovered the subject involved was in possession of heroin. Warrants for felony possession were obtained on this subject.
