Dunwoody Police Investigating Bogus Travel Agency
A victim says she contacted the company regarding a family trip to India and paid $2,500 in cash to the agency's bank account

Dunwoody, Alpharetta and Gwinnett County police are investigating a bogus travel agency that has duped several people, a news report said.
A Lawrenceville victim told Channel 2 news that she saw an ad by Ghandi Travels, Inc in the Indian Magazine, Khabar, that promised low cost fares. She contacted the company regarding a family trip to India and paid $2,500 in cash to the agency’s bank account, the report said.
She did not receive the tickets and could not reach the agency after the deposit was made.

In the Channel 2 report, Khabar magazine editor, Parthiv Parekh said nearly a dozen people have contacted him with similar stories. He replaced the ad with a warning about the agency advising anyone with information to contact Dunwoody Police.
Sgt. Mike Carlson told Channel 2 that they have several leads.
