The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta hosts a variety of fall programs at the Dunwoody location. See the lineup below for more information about these events.

Pranic Healing -- Sunday - Friday, by appointment
Where: MJCCA at Zaban Park (5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody)
Cost: Member/$60 (per 45-minute session). Individual session packages are available.
Pranic Healing is a highly evolved and tested system of energy medicine developed by GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui that utilizes prana to facilitate the body and mind’s innate ability to heal. “Prana” is a Sanskrit work that means life force.

Biggest Loser: Stick With It! Challenge -- Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:30 a.m., Noon, and 2:30 p.m. (October – December)
Where: MJCCA at Zaban Park (5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody)
Cost: Member adult/ $225, Community adult/$280
The Biggest Loser: Stick With It! Challenge is for adults who want to make a positive lifestyle change under the coaching of a professional trainer. This program is for individuals who need to lose five percent or more of their body weight. A Biggest Loser Pro will equip you with the expert training you need on proper workout routines, nutrition, and weight management.

Veteran’s Day Celebration -- Friday, Nov 7, 10 - 10:30 a.m.
Where: MJCCA at Zaban Park (5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody)
Cost: Free and open to the community
The MJCCA and The Weinstein School will honor United States Veterans at a special Shabbat celebration at the MJCCA. Prayers and songs will be offered for the brave men and women who have served in our Armed Forces. Please join us for a very meaningful morning, as we thank our veterans for their service to our country. Veterans of all faiths and backgrounds and their families are invite to attend.

Afternoon at the Movies Presents: Big Hero 6 -- Sunday, November 9, 4 - 7 p.m.
Where: Studio Movie Grill (2880 Holcomb Bridge Rd., Alpharetta)
Who: Grades 6-8
Cost: $30/register by 11/3, $35/register after 11/3 (Price includes dinner and a movie.)

Focus on Flexibility Yoga Workshop -- Sunday, November 9, 1:45 – 3:45 p.m.
Where: MJCCA at Zaban Park (5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody)
Cost: Member adult/ $20-25, Community adult/ $35
Flexibility and balance are perhaps the two qualities most yoga enthusiasts seek and they are possibly the most elusive. Despite where you view your flexibility and balance, you will not regret treating yourself to this workshop. Through a series of playful and gently opening poses and meditations, we will work through those annoying tight places and fire up the strength to release balance within your body and mind.

Kristallnacht Ceremony -- Sunday, November 9, 7 - 7:30 p.m.
Where: The MJCCA’s Besser Holocaust Memorial Garden (5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody)
Cost: Free and open to the community
Details: The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta will commemorate the anniversary of Kristallnacht, or the Night of Broken Glass. The program is open to the community and will take place at the MJCCA’s Besser Holocaust Memorial Garden. The program will include the lighting of the six torches, a performance by The Weber School Chorus, and remarks from Ben Hirsch, a Kristallnacht and Holocaust survivor. All are welcome.

Family Laser Tag -- Sunday, November 16, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Where: MJCCA at Zaban Park, (5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody)
Cost: Member (one game)/$10, Community (one game)/$15
Join us for an awesome family day of outdoor laser tag on the Zaban Park fields. We will schedule shift times for you and your family to play against friends and other families. All equipment will be provided and set up will include large obstacles to maneuver around when strategizing the best way to win. Twenty-four people can play at one time. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your play time, and please wear closed-toe shoes. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Pre-registration is required.

All are invited to join Rabbi Laurence Rosenthal from Ahavath Achim Synagogue for a lively class and discussion. The MJCCA Lunch ‘N Learn series features Atlanta rabbis who share unique perspectives on a topic of their choice. Guests may bring a dairy lunch or purchase Kosher food from Goodfriend’s Grill. Shabbat, Me & Rabbi G. -- Friday, November 21, 5 - 6 p.m.
Where: MJCCA at Zaban Park (5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody)
Cost: Free and open to the community
Bring your children to enjoy a Shabbat-related activity and story at the MJCCA Srochi Discovery Center followed by songs and blessings with Rabbi Glusman and a visit from the Weinstein School Shabbat Dinosaur. Challah and grape juice will be served.

SHABBAT in the ATL (21-35 year olds) -- Friday, November 21, 7 - 10 p.m.
Where: Park Bench (34 Irby Avenue, Buckhead)
Who: Young adults, ages 21+
Cost: Free and open to the community (Cash bar)
Young Adults are invited to join Rabbi Glusman, Hannah Zale, and other musicians for a unique, music-driven Sabbath celebration and rock concert. This event is a sponsored by the MJCCA and the Atlanta Jewish Music Festival.
