LifeLine Animal Project Presents our Amazing DeKalb Pets of the Week! Also, Attend Some of our Great Fall Events!

Meet some of LifeLine's Dogs at the Center for Civil and Human Rights Museum and the Atlanta Fulton Public Library!

In addition to the many offsite adoption events we have going on every weekend, LifeLine Animal Project has lots going on this Fall. Two events happening this week are with The Center for Civil and Human Rights Museum and the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library.

Explore the Center for Civil and Human Rights Museum and meet some of our great shelter pets too! LifeLine Animal Project will be holding an adoption event at the museum on Sunday, October 18, from noon to 4 p.m., with some wonderful dogs who would be very happy to meet you. The Center is located at 100 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd, between the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca Cola, so why not make a day of it, and then take a new awesome family member home too! For more information about the Center for Civil and Human Rights, please visit www.civilandhumanrights.org.

LifeLine is also partnering with the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library to celebrate that October is National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. The Atlanta-Fulton Public Library recognizes that millions of animals enter shelters every year in need of a loving home. To help spread the valuable message that pet adoption is critical, they are hosting several events with LifeLine’s sweet pups at their Central and East Atlanta Branch Libraries.

On October 17th and 24th, stop by, say hello, and meet some furry friends on the East Atlanta library patio. We have found that kids love reading to our pups, and our dogs LOVE the attention! Then, on October 21st at Noon, we invite you to a Pet Adoption Information Fair at the Central library. Learn about the benefits of adoption for animals and humans, and get information on the adoption process, the importance of spay/neuter, and animal health and training.

LifeLine’s DeKalb County Pets of the Week: Sanford and Boxcar

Meet Boxcar, a Golden Retriever mix who has impeccable manners and a stunning smile. This gorgeous, 60 lb. hunk of love walks wonderfully on a leash, already knows his sit command, and is very calm. Boxcar is gets along great with other dogs and would make a great brother for the dog in your home. Come meet Boxcar at DeKalb Animal Services!

Our next wonderful boy is Sanford, a handsome brindle boy who would love to be your newest cuddling companion. This super friendly two year old loves everyone he meets. He gets along great with other dogs too! Sanford’s favorite activities include giving kisses, doing tricks for treats, and sticking close to your side. Sanford can be a little shy at first in new situations, but he finds comfort when he receives encouragement from the humans around him. Come meet Sanford at DeKalb Animal Services. He is waiting for you!

Both Sanford and Boxcar are available for free during the month of October as part of our Fall in Love promotion, including their neuters, vaccines and microchips! To meet either of these boys, simply drop by the shelter at 845 Camp Road in Decatur, email adoption@dekalbanimalservices.com or call (404) 294-2165.
