Marcus Jewish Community Center Celebrates Israel in April
The Dunwoody Center celebrates a four-part series at Emory University in April.

In April, the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta celebrates the 65th anniversary of the state of Israel with a four-part series of courses.
The courses are offered April 4-25 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Marcus Hillel Center at Emory University, 735 Gatewood Road, Atlanta.

Topics are:
- April 4: “Israel@65: Finished and Unfinished Business.” Professor Kenneth Stein, Director, Institute for the Study of Modern Israel, Center for Israel Education.
- April 11: “What Does the New Knesset Mean for World Jewry?” Rabbi Russ Shulkes Executive Director, Hillels of Georgia.
- April 18: “The Changing Relationship between the American Jewish Community and Israel.” Richard Walter, Associate Director Institute for the Study of Modern Israel, Center for Israel Education.
- April 25: “The Jewish Landscape: Challenges and Opportunities within Israeli Society.” Dr. Shelley Buxbaum, Director of of the Lisa F Brill Institute for Jewish Learning at the MJCCA.
Tuition is $36 for the entire series of 4 lectures, or $10 per session.
