Sneiderman Trial: 42 Jurors Selected, Opening Statements Begin Monday

After day three of the Andrea Sneiderman perjury trial, 42 potential qualified jurors have been selected out of the 283 citizens in the initial jury pool.
The attorneys for the prosecution and the defense return to court Thursday at 1:30 p.m. to narrow the jury pool down to the final 12 jurors.
Opening statements in the trial are expected to begin Monday, but could possibly begin as early as Friday.
Sneiderman is the Dunwoody widow accused of plotting with her former boss, Hemy Neuman, to murder her husband, Rusty Sneiderman. Neuman is serving a life sentence for gunning down Rusty Sneiderman outside a Dunwoody daycare in 2010. Prosecutors have accused Andrea Sneiderman of having an affair with Neuman.
Sneiderman has continually denied any involvement in her husband's death and any romantic involvement with Neuman.
On Friday, murder and aggravated assault charges against Andrea Sneiderman were dropped. She now faces faces 13 lesser charges, including four counts of perjury, seven counts of making false statements and a count of hindering the apprehension of a criminal and concealment of material fact.
