Students with Mild Disabilities Run Dunwoody High School Cafe

The students serve their fellow classmates baked goods and beverages.

Tuesday mornings at Dunwoody High School mean students can purchase cookies, hot chocolate, cinnamon rolls, and more from the WILDCAT’FE cafe.

The Special Education department created the cafe in order to give students with mild intellectual disabilities the opportunity to get in-school vocational experience.

The program offers the students an opportunity to enhance their social and problem-solving skills by greeting customers, helping make the baked goods and drinks, and collecting payment.
