Unique Theater Performance Features John Lemley from WABE

"White Rabbit, Red Rabbit," the newest play at Out of Hand Theater, involves no rehearsals, no director, and no set.

In a showing of “White Rabbit, Red Rabbit” co-produced by the Marcus Jewish Community Center in Dunwoody and Out of Hand Theater, Atlanta NPR’s music host John Lemley will perform a cold reading of the script on-stage at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25.

Written by 29-year-old playwright Nassim Soleimanpour while he was forbidden to leave his home country of Iran, “White Rabbit, Red Rabbit” is a unique experiment in theater that produces a new experience with every performance.

“Each performance is a world premiere,” Adam Fristoe, Co-Artistic Director at the Out of Hand Theater, said in a press release. “A different actor reads the script cold for the first time at each performance. A thrilling, informative, highly individual and extremely entertaining encounter emerges, almost like magic, with a young writer who has more questions for his (fictional) audience than answers.”
