Here's what's happening at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta this week:
More than 500 Jewish teens in Atlanta (grades 6 – 12) will participate, along with more than 10,000 teens from around the world, in a day of community service and improvement projects as they take part in J-Serve, an international day of Jewish youth service on Sunday, April 28. Seussical on April 28 and May 5
Company J at the MJCCA continues its season of theater classics with the musical, Seussical, running April 28 at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and May 5 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Geared specifically to younger audiences, this one-act version of Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! You’ll see all your favorite Dr. Seuss friends including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie, and a little boy with a big imagination named Jo-Jo. Seussical productions take place at the MJCCA's Morris and Rae Frank Theatre, 5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody. Harris Jacobs Dream Run Celebrates 20th Anniversary on May 5
The MJCCA will hold the 20th annual Harris Jacobs Dream Run (HJDR) on Sunday, May 5 at the MJCCA’s Zaban Park campus (5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody, 30338) at 7 a.m. This year’s race features a new AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier that allows runners to use their time to qualify for a start wave in the 2014 Road Race.
