Autumn's Last Weekend In Metro Atlanta Will Be Wet, Windy, Foggy

A 100-percent chance of rain on Friday also could bring thunderstorms, fog and gusty winds.

PEACHTREE CITY, GA -- The last weekend of fall in metro Atlanta brings with it a 100-percent chance of rain on Friday. Rain is expected to move into the metro area Thursday night after midnight, with a low of around 46, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday's forecast calls for showers and possibly a thunderstorm, with areas of fog before 11am. Highs will be near 54, winds of up to around 10 mph and gusts as high as 15 mph. Forecasters expect rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch.

Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Areas of fog before 7pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 46. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday
A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.
