CINS to Host Community Meeting Dec. 12 at SPARK Elementary
On the agenda: Atlanta Public Schools' Human Resources on hiring, staffing, leveling and professional development.

The Council of Intown Neighborhoods and Schools β which includes the Grady High cluster communities of Old Fourth Ward and Candler Park among others β is hosting anmeeting at noon on Dec. 12 in the gymnasium of Springdale Park Elementary School, 1246 Ponce de Leon Ave.
In focus will be the Atlanta Public Schools' Human Resource Services Division.
The mission of the APS Human Resource Services Division "is to recruit, develop, and retain outstanding employees committed to fostering educational excellence." This division plays a key role in the quality of teachers, principals and staff in our schools and the district.

Over the past several months, APS has been redefining this division. Join CINS as APS provides an update on what changes have been made and the impact on our schools. Hear answers to questions including:
- How are schools staffed with teachers, principals and substitute teachers?

- What is the Balanced Scorecard? How far has APS progressed in implementing its Effective Teacher in Every Classroom initiative?"

Parking: Please park in the SPARK parking lot behind the school at 803 Briarcliff Road. Please do NOT park in the DHUMC parking lot. DHUMC is holding their holiday programs for their preschool on Wednesday. Or you may park across Ponce de Leon on the streets that border the park.
