Suspect Sought in Reddy Supermarket Robbery and Car Theft

Police believe this man is involved in the armed robbery and beating of the owner of the Reddy Supermarket at 2199 College Ave. NE.

KIRKWOOD β€” The Atlanta Police Department is looking for the public's assistance in identifying the lead suspect in a Monday evening robbery at Reddy Supermarket, located at 2199 College Ave. NE.

According to the APD's Facebook page, the individual in the attached photo is wanted for armed robbery and is responsible for the robbery at the convenience store.Β  The victim told police he was robbedin his store and that his assailant that his vehicle also was stolen.

The store owner, according to the police report, said two men approached him at about 10:30 p.m. as he exited the store to bring milk to his car.

"The one older suspect pointed the hand gun at him and the two suspects motioned for him to get back in the store," the responding officer wrote in hs report. The suspects got the victim's car keys.

The victim complied with their instructions and opened up the store.Β  According to the police report, it was inside the store that the victim was assaulted.

"The victim was punched in the face by the suspects, causing a laceration and bruises to his face," the police report states.

The two suspects took approximately 450 packs of cigarettes, mostly Newport, and Maverick brands. The police report also states that the suspects stole roughly $400 from the register and the victim's wallet and credit cards.

The suspects even grabbed a box of trash bags that they used to fill with stolen goods from the store.

The victim was transported to the Atlanta Medical Center.
