Wellstar East Cobb Health Park Expands Service With New Gastroenterology Office

EAST COBB, GA — Wellstar East Cobb Health Park just expanded its services Tuesday with the opening of its new gastroenterology department, Wellstar Health System officials said in a news release.

The gastroenterology office opened Tuesday and is located inside the existing East Cobb health center. Patients can already start scheduling appointments.

Dr. Arif Aziz, a board-certified gastroenterologist with more than 35 years of experience, will lead the practice and provide care. Aziz has experience treating both routine and complex digestive conditions such as cirrhosis, liver and colon cancer, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, the release said.

Starting in March, Aziz will also perform procedures at Wellstar East Cobb Health Park.
