In Loving Memory of Claudia G. Chamblee, 80

Claudia G. Chamblee, 80 of Marietta died on Sunday, September 13, 2015. A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17th at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Powder Springs Chapel with Rev. Mike Faulkner officiating.

Claudia was a life long resident of Cobb County and she retired from Cobb County school system. She was a member of Grace Pointe Baptist church in Marietta and she was married to her loving husband, James for 60 years.

She is survived by her husband, James E. Chamblee of Marietta; daughter, Claudia Joan Hodges of Douglasville; two sisters, Edith Davis and Evelyn Jones, both of Rockmart; brother, Tommy Garner of Powder Springs; two grandchildren, Jerry Shane Southern and Pamela Joan McPerson; two great grandchildren, Adam Dean McPerson and Caden James McPerson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the funeral home.
