• UPDATE: Person in custody at Fort Stewart, investigation ongoing (wjbf.com) — A shelter-in-place order at Fort Stewart has been lifted after officials took one person into custody following an isolated incident in Bryan Village on Monday afternoon. Authorities say reports of shots fired involved a soldier in distress barricaded in a home, not an active shooter. Law enforcement, including Liberty County deputies, contained the situation and continue to investigate.
