  1. The U.S. Forest Service invites the public's opinion regarding raising fees at 14 developed recreation sites. If approved, the plan would impose fees on an additional six sites currently used by visitors. The proposed fee hikes would cost visitors an extra dollar daily, while overnight camping rates would double. (Now Habersham)
  2. Lanier Technical College in Gainesville is a global Fix Your Content challenge winner. The 24-hour competition aims to improve the accessibility of digital course content. Lanier Technical College was one of 85 universities and colleges participating in this challenge. (Campus Technology)
  3. Following a three-vehicle wreck, a man from Clarkesville sustained critical injuries and was admitted to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Unfortunately, after a six-day struggle, he succumbed to his extensive injuries and passed away. The local coroner has confirmed the cause of death to be the result of the injuries sustained in the accident. (Now Habersham)
