- A 25-year-old woman is recovering after being violently struck in the head by another woman at the Port of Indecision on nearby Lake Lanier Islands. The attacker used a baseball-sized rock as a weapon and also punched the victim. The victim, who was waiting on the dock, was approached by the attacker, who was a stranger; the motive behind the attack is currently under investigation. (11 Alive)
- Starting from Monday, Jun. 19 at 7:00 a.m. until Jun. 23 at 5:00 p.m., Antioch Campground Road in North Hall County will be closed for construction. The closure will occur at the intersections of Antioch Campground Road with Sardis Road and Looper Lake Road. - Zachary Harley Wainright, a Gainesville man, has been charged by the Hall County Sheriff's Office after a six-month investigation into the sexual assault of a girl under the age of 16.
