• Jones County man charged after puppy abandoned, run over in parking lot (41nbc.com) — A Jones County resident has been charged after deputies say a puppy was abandoned in a Gray convenience store parking lot and then run over. Investigators traced the vehicle from Gary’s Food Mart to East Virginia Avenue, where the driver reportedly admitted leaving the dog. Authorities urge Gray and Jones County residents to report any suspected animal abuse immediately.
