Eastside Looking at 10-Bed Emergency Facility in Loganville

If approved, the new facility would be the first of its kind in Georgia.

The associate chief operating officer of Eastside Medical Center, Drew Tyrer, advised Loganville officials Thursday that the Snellville-based medical company  was looking to open a 10-bed emergency facility in Loganville.

“On Aug. 22, we filed a Certificate of Need with the state to build a free standing emergency department in Loganville,” Tyrer told the Loganville mayor and council at the September City Council Meeting. “These are not new, they have been around for about 30 years, but it would be the first of its kind in Georgia.”
