Teen Arrested During Police Chase In Norcross

NORCROSS, GA — A teenager facing seven counts of aggravated assault was arrested during a traffic stop Tuesday at the intersection of Langford Road and Buford Highway in Norcross, the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office said.

During the stop, authorities said the suspect fled the scene and hit two civilian vehicles and an unmarked vehicle with the sheriff's office.

After the brief chase, the suspect was arrested without further incident, authorities said. The civilians were evaluated at the scene, authorities said.

They identified the suspect as Abraham Quintanilla. Gwinnett County Jail records on Wednesday showed Quintanilla is 17-years-old and faces additional charges of drug possession, speeding, driving without a license, reckless driving, drive-by shooting, weapons possession and several other charges. He remained incarcerated on a $33,200 bond on Wednesday, jail records showed.
