• School district receives multimillion dollar grant to increase access to grade school sports (wsbradio.com) — Gwinnett County students could see more chances to play sports thanks to a new $6.3 million grant for the school district. The funding will add lights to six fields, lower costs for middle school soccer, and launch girls’ flag football at 14 middle schools, part of a broader metro Atlanta initiative.
   

• Norcross Man Charged with Murder in Birthday Celebration Shooting at DeKalb County Gas Station (hoodline.com) — A Norcross man is jailed in Gwinnett County after being charged with murder and aggravated assault in a DeKalb County gas station shooting that killed a woman celebrating her birthday. Arrested at a Gwinnett County hospital and now held in the county jail pending transfer, he’s accused in an October incident where investigators say the victim was an innocent bystander.
   

• Game of dominoes leads to stabbing in Gwinnett County (cbs46.com) — Gwinnett County police say a late-November game of dominoes inside a home ended with one man stabbed and another arrested. Officers provided lifesaving aid at the scene, and K-9 units later found the suspect hiding behind a nearby shed before charging him with multiple felonies.
