Convicted Sex Offender Faces Multiple Charges In Gwinnett
The man was accused of trying to video chat with a female inmate using a fake ID and advertising services for an unlicensed business.
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A convicted sex offender accused of trying to video chat with a female inmate using fake identification, and also advertising services for an unlicensed massage therapy business online, has been arrested, the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.
Authorities said they arrested Tarek Mentouri on Wednesday after first accusing him of requesting a video visitation with a Gwinnett County Jail inmate using false identification.
He was initially arrested in November 2025 on charges of unlawful to possess, display or use any false, fraudulent or altered identification document and was later released on bond, authorities said.

Then, in December 2025, authorities said they were tipped off that Mentouri was posting online advertisements for massage therapy services without a valid license. They also accused him of neglecting to register his employment, per state law for sex offenders.
He was re-arrested on charges of two counts of unlawful advertisement or practice of massage therapy, unlicensed massage therapy and failure to register as a sex offender/failure to comply with requirements/providing false information, authorities said.

Mentouri was being held at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond, authorities said.
