• A Day for Dreams and Good Company (gwinnettmagazine.com) — Gwinnett residents are invited to a free Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade and community celebration on Monday, January 19, 2026, in Lawrenceville. The day begins with an 11 a.m. ceremony at the Gwinnett Justice & Administration Center, followed by a noon parade to Central Gwinnett High School and an afternoon of food, music, and family-friendly activities that highlight the county’s diversity and unity.
   

• Mural surge in Gwinnett County hopes to be uniting force (11alive.com) — New murals under I-85 and along Sugarloaf Parkway are transforming busy Gwinnett County corridors into colorful gateways meant to boost civic pride and reflect the area’s diversity. Sugarloaf and Gateway85 CIDs partnered with local and state transportation agencies and artists to turn once-sterile concrete into large-scale public art, with more projects planned to brighten high-traffic spots.
