- Enjoy the Summer Movies at the Park, a free outdoor film series featuring family-friendly movies shown on a large inflatable screen. Prior to the movie screenings, there will be exciting activities like inflatable moonwalks, face painting, giveaways, and children's activities, along with the opportunity to indulge in delicious food from scheduled food trucks. The movie dates for July include "DC League of Super Pets" on Jul. 14, and a Teen/Adult Night featuring "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" on Aug. 11. (Johns Creek GA)
- Save the dates for Cauley Creek Week, a grand opening celebration at the park taking place from Jul. 18-22. The week will feature sports demonstrations and activities, and culminate in a grand opening event on Jul. 22, featuring carnival rides, games, music, food trucks, and more. While landscaping projects and punch-list items are still being completed, visitors are encouraged to exercise caution and be aware of construction equipment on-site during their park visits in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to the park's social media channels and website for event updates and announcements. (Johns Creek GA Govt)
- The Johns Creek Police Department is renewing its plea for public assistance in identifying the driver responsible for a hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of Richard Bartlett III, the son of a Gwinnett County deputy, two years ago on McGinnis Ferry Road. Lieutenant Deb Coble, who was present at the scene of the tragic incident, emphasizes the heart-wrenching impact it had and the ongoing determination to find justice. Investigators have exhaustively pursued leads but are now seeking any additional information from the public, as they believe someone knows something crucial about the case, and a reward of $12,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
