Here are the top three stories today in Johns Creek:
- Election results are in, and your Fulton County School Board members have been chosen. As of Wednesday afternoon, the District 2 board member will be Lillie Pozatek and the District 5 member will be Kristin McCabe. However, the District 7 race is too close to call, according to election officials. Read the background of each winning candidate at the link. (Appen Media)
- As the school year comes to a close, North Fulton County Schools will see a shift in school attendance zones. Beginning in August, the school district will hold community meetings to engage parents and stakeholders in the redistricting process. The major focus, according to Fulton Schools, is an imbalance in enrollment among elementary schools, which may affect upper grade-level schools in the long run. (Appen Media)
- The Johns Creek housing market is heating up! According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Johns Creek was the seventh-most popular housing market in the United States during the first three months of the year. In April, the average home in Johns Creek sold for more than seven percent above the list price. (The Business Journals)
