Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:
- Fulton County officials and riverkeepers continue to work to address the sewage spill that led to elevated E. coli levels in the Chattahoochee River. The county is employing various measures, including bringing in "good bugs" from a Johns Creek facility to assist in the natural cleaning process. However, as of Wednesday, millions of gallons of contaminated water are still flowing into the river — though recent tests indicate some progress with stabilized E. coli levels and declining phosphorus levels. - The family of a local man who died in a hit-and-run collision in Johns Creek two years ago continues the search for the individual responsible. Richard Bartlett III, then 23 years old, was struck on McGinnis Ferry Road while securing a mattress and box spring tied to the top of his car. The Johns Creek Police Department (JCPD) and Bartlett's family are offering a combined reward of $12,000, and anyone with information is urged to contact the JCPD at (470) 774-3358. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
