It's Almost Festival Time in Johns Creek
A line-up of entertainment - including von Grey, the sister quartet from Johns Creek, and over 100 artists are on tap for this year's festival.
Get ready Johns Creek for the second annual Johns Creek Arts Festival coming up this weekend, Oct. 19-20 at the Atlanta Athletic Club's fields.
The two-day event features more than 100 artists and a line-up of entertainment - including von Grey, the sister quartet from Johns Creek who recently performed their original alternative rock songs on the David Letterman Show and Bonnaroo music festival.
von Grey takes the stage at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, followed by fan-favorite Banks & Shane. Fireworks top off the evening. Earlier that day, local favorites Maddie Monroe & Matt Thomas, Who's Dave?, Centennial High School a capella groups, the Chattahoochee High School Band, Perimeter Dance, Fleetwood Dance and North Atlanta Dance Theatre perform, starting at 10 a.m.
Live entertainment on Sunday, Oct. 20 includes a New Orleans Jazz Brunch featuring Blair Crimmins, gospel singer Anitra Jay, rock band Aaxiss, the Johns Creek High School Chorus, Northview High School Chamber Orchestra, and Christian Youth Theater.
Returning to this year's festival on Sunday at 1 p.m. is the popular Pet Parade. Early registration for this event is encouraged. Immediately following the Pet Parade, Xena the Warrior Puppy, whose story has touched hearts across the U.S., will be available for a meet and greet.
The FREE festival runs Saturday, Oct. 19, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 20, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The family event offers art in all mediums, entertainment, food and children's games.
The Atlanta Athletic Club fields are directly across from the Club at 1930 Bobby Jones Drive, Johns Creek, GA 30097. (Intersection of Ga. 141 and Bobby Jones Drive).
The Johns Creek Arts Festival is presented by the City of Johns Creek and the Johns Creek Convention & Visitors Bureau in partnership with Splash Festivals.
