The City of Johns Creek reminds residents that the Shakerag Park turf cricket pitches will be closed from Monday, Aug. 29 to Friday, Sep. 2, for maintenance repairs and the installation of a molded rubber border surrounding the pitch. 2. In case you missed it: On Thursday, Sep. 8, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Johns Creek Police Department will host an important and free Suicide Awareness and Prevention event. Participants will learn the signs to look out for, how and when to obtain help, and more. The event will be held at Johns Creek Baptist Church, located at 6919 McGinnis Ferry Road in Johns Creek.
