The National Weather Service is forecasting scattered to numerous thunderstorms expected Thursday, especially during the afternoon.
GEORGIA — Strong to severe thunderstorms can be expected Thursday afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.
A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for portions of North and Central Georgia, the NWS said.
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms can be expected, especially during the afternoon and evening hours. Some strong to isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible. The main hazards will be strong to possibly damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning and heavy rainfall, NWS said.

Then during the next few days, scattered to numerous thunderstorms can be expected each day with the greatest thunderstorm chances during the afternoon and evening hours. Strong to isolated severe storms will be possible and could produce strong gusty winds, frequent lightning and heavy rainfall. Heavy rainfall could lead to localized flooding in flood prone areas.
